The Central Cabinet Minister Shri Kashiram Rana and the Gujarat Cabinet Minister Shri Narottambhai Patel presented the issue to Gujarat’s Chief Minister Shri Keshubhai Patel. He allocated 42 acres of land from the Gujarat Housing Board for a lease of 99 years starting from 11/06/2001. On 07/01/2004, the honourable Shri Lal Krishna Advani and the then Chief Minister and the immensely popular and visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, performed Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for land. The work progressed diligently. Blocks A and D of the medical college were constructed.
In 2005-06 SPB Physiotherapy College was started with an intake capacity of 30 for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course progressively increase up to 118 seats. On 20/06/2015, Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) was started with intake capacity of 6 which than increased to 21 from 09/07/2020. It is considered to be one of the most established premier colleges of Gujarat till date.
In 2005, we started dental OPD . Even today we caters to nearly 50 patients daily. In the same year, the General OPD was also started, where medicines and injections were provided free of charge, serving around 50 to 60 patients daily.
From the academic year 2021-22, nursing college Vatsalya Nursing and Research Institute was started. With the intake of 40 seats for B.Sc. Nursing and 40 seats for GNM Nursing. The inauguration was carried out by the Pradesh Pramukh of the Bharatiya Janta Party honourable Shri C.R. Patil.
From 19/08/2023, the inauguration of Vatsalya Day Care Health Center took place in the presidency of the honourable Shri Bhanjibhai Patel, President of the Duhana Academy Education Trust, inaugurator Shri Damodarbhai Patel (Kutchi) and the chief guest Shri Haribhai Patel. This Day Care Health Center provides primary care to anyone in need, beyond regular doctor consultations. Additionally, they offer medicines and healthcare assistance at nominal rates.
